Finham Park 2 is an exciting new co-educational academy in Coventry that opened in September 2015. Already a popular choice with local parents, we are significantly over-subscribed for 2018-19 and have a full cohort of Year 7, 8, 9 & 10 students. Our students are smart, thoughtful, inquisitive, well-behaved and polite.
The school was set up by leaders from the ‘Outstanding’ (2015) Finham Park School and we moved into our newly refurbished building in September 2016. We are proud to be part of and supported by the Finham Park Multi Academy Trust.
Already a ‘good’ school (Ofsted 2018), our aim is to not only be ‘outstanding’ but ‘world class’. Finham Park 2 is a mainstream, non-selective, comprehensive school for students aged 11-18 based in west Coventry. Our school is built on traditional values- pride, respect and responsibility, and we have high expectations of both students and staff. Pivotal to this is a positive ethos and culture of learning and success for all students. There is particular regard to outstanding achievement for all students whatever their academic starting point and a commitment to lifelong learning for all stakeholders.
MFL plays an important role in the school and the majority of students study a language to GCSE, with Spanish set to be offered in the school’s soon to be opened Sixth Form. The Governors are seeking to appoint an innovative and highly motivated Teacher of French and Spanish to join a strong and enthusiastic team in the Modern Languages Department where teachers are committed to delivering a high quality, lively and interesting curriculum with a strong teaching and learning ethic based on the latest research into MFL teaching.
The department offers French, Spanish and Mandarin through the MEP programme, and has forged links with schools in France, Spain and China and offers visits to all three.

About Finham Park 2
Finham Park 2 is an exciting, innovative, friendly and supportive 11-19 co-educational comprehensive school based on the West side of Coventry near the border of Solihull and close to Warwick University. We opened in September 2015 with 120 students and have grown year on year, including our 6th form, which opened in 2020. We continue to be heavily oversubscribed each year. In September 2022, we were the most over-subscribed school in Coventry.
Our last Ofsted (November 2023) described Finham Park 2 as a good school in all areas with “a purposeful atmosphere around the school”, “a calm and orderly manner” and a place that “highly considers staff workload which staff are appreciative of”.

Finham Park 2 is a truly comprehensive school with almost 700 students on roll. The vast majority of our students are happy, well-behaved, friendly, inquisitive, polite and wear their uniform with pride. On entry students are broadly in line with national averages with approximately 85+% middle or higher prior attainment.
We offer an exciting curriculum that provides opportunities for all students to ensure they all achieve and make the best progress they are capable of, no matter what their starting points; a curriculum that nurtures every child’s talents and provides exceptional opportunities for students to have the ‘time of their lives’.
