Saracens High School is a new secondary school which opened in September 2018 for 156 Year 7 pupils, growing each year until the school is full in 2024. The school is located in the Colindale area of North London.
We are looking for an exceptional classroom practitioner, experienced or newly qualified, who shows a real passion for Languages and can inspire students about their learning. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting and growing subject area, in the second year of the school’s life. They will be helping to create an exciting and challenging curriculum, as part of a small team, to ensure that our pupils can attend the best Universities or successfully compete for sought-after apprenticeships. This is a unique opportunity to influence the growth of a school. There will be opportunities for promotion as the school grows. The person appointed would be managed on a day to day basis by the Curriculum Leader for Languages. At present we teach Spanish and we are looking to offer French to our Year 7 pupils next year.
The school and the curriculum you will be helping to create will be underpinned by the Saracen’s values of Discipline, Hard work, Honesty, and Humility, which are embedded in our lessons and our approach as linguists.
You will be helping to create a distinctive culture and philosophy so that from the moment someone enters the school, they will know this is where the learner is empowered to “be the best that they can possibly be”.
