Job overview
We are recruiting a well-qualified Teacher of French & Spanish from January 2018. The post will involve teaching French across Y10 to Y13 and Spanish in Y9 and Y11. The Department currently teaches French, German, Mandarin, Russian and Spanish from beginner to Pre-U. The ability to teach a second modern language is desirable but not a necessity so if you have French but not Spanish you are welcome to apply but not vice versa. The School’s excellent record of high achievement (89% A* to B at A Level in 2017) is reflected in the Modern Languages Department’s recent results. The School has long standing trips to Le Mans, Lille, Madrid, Granada and Hamburg and a willingness to be involved in school trips abroad is vital. We expect all staff to be fully involved in school life.
The School occupies fine, modern buildings near St. Paul’s Cathedral overlooking the Thames, opposite the Tate Modern.

City of London School is an independent school based in London for boys aged 10-18.
The school site is situated by the Thames. It has over 20 acres of sports pitches. It was established in 1834 and moved to its present site in 1986. The school is governed by a board and by the City of London Corporation, which appoints its governors.
