Teacher of GCSE Mathematics 

Seevic College Teachers’ Scale £21,576 - £36,824 per annum, according to skills and experience, pro rata for part time hours

We are looking for a highly motivated, robust and innovative teacher who puts students' achievements and quality at the heart of their work.  The successful candidate will join our excellent department, with proven good outcomes for GCSE maths, with 66% of D grade students gaining a C grade in the last 2 years.

The successful candidate will need to be committed to deliver and be expected to plan, prepare and mark all student work, to ensure outstanding results through active learning and high levels of student support.  The post is primarily required for GCSE maths teaching, some A Level teaching may be available for a suitable candidate.

We require a candidate with outstanding teaching and learning practices, together with the ability to create a stimulating learning environment. Strong classroom management skills and a proven track record of successful curriculum development. 

A record to evidence continuous professional development to ensure innovation and creativity in the classroom is essential. 

The College’s minimum requirements are for candidates to have a Maths degree and qualified teacher status. 

There will also be the expectation to attend all promotional evening events.

The college was formed in 2017 as a result of a merger between Palmers College (Grays) and Seevic College (Benfleet) and the last 12 months has been a period of very positive change, growth and investment.
