The Workplace is a newly opened Alternative Provision (AP) Free School, focussing on founding principles of rigour, enterprise, industry and partnerships. The Workplace offers high quality vocational education in industry standard settings, alongside high quality delivery of core Maths, English and Science. The school offers full-time education to students who require a curriculum beyond the mainstream offer.

As a result of an expansion and new KS3 offer the school requires a Teacher of General subjects. The role will include the planning, delivery, assessment and organisation of teaching for groups of KS3 and KS4 students. Teaching could include English, Maths, Science, ICT and/or Vocational areas.

You will be a confident classroom practitioner, with experience of working with young people in formal educational settings. This role would suit a TA3 who aspires to become a qualified teacher within an AP setting. You will have an inclusive view of education and be willing to develop your teaching approach in line with the strategic direction of the Trust and the school.

You will join a highly dedicated and professional staff team and be part of a supportive working and learning environment, where your professional development is highly valued and teacher training will be provided as required.

If you wish to have an informal discussion with Gavin Thomas, Principal, this can be arranged.  Please contact The Workplace on 01323 679557 or by email on office.WP@sabden.org.uk.
