We are seeking an ambitious, committed and inspirational teacher of Geography for September 2019.

Essential requirements for the successful applicant are to:

  • teach Geography across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • committed to transforming the lives of learners through a knowledge-based approach.
  • be motivated and passionate about working in a richly diverse educational community.
  • be able to inspire students and staff within a culture of high standards, expectations and outcomes for all.
  • have excellent communication skills to forge positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, support staff, governors and other community and business links. The ability to teach History at KS3 (or as a second subject) would be desirable.

St Thomas Aquinas is a large and thriving Catholic comprehensive school situated in the town of Kings Norton, in the south of Birmingham. Along with seven local primary schools, it is part of Lumen Christi MAC, a growing Catholic Multi Academy. The secondary school with a sixth form educates girls and boys aged between 11 and 18. There are approximately 1,160+ pupils on roll with around 160 students in the Sixth Form.
