The Humanities department is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring leader of Geography to teach at A Level. The department prides itself on innovation and academic rigour and welcome applicants new to teaching as well as experienced practitioners that is willing to enhance the Geography subject under the new linear specification. We teach the Edexcel specification therefore applicants that have taught this would be preferred; however this is not essential. The department’s achievement rate in A2 was 1.3% above national average, and has a pass rate of 100% so a practitioner that aims for the best results is imperative. The college was formed in 2017 as a result of a merger between Palmers College (Grays) and Seevic College (Benfleet) and the last 12 months has been a period of very positive change, growth and investment.
