‘Outstanding in every category 2012 and 2018’
We welcome applications from those of the Catholic faith, all faiths and no faith, and who are supportive of our Christian values and ethos. We are seeking to recruit an outstanding teacher to join a well-staffed, dynamic and successful department. The post represents an ideal opportunity for an ambitious teacher of Geography, with possibility of a middle leadership secondment for the right candidate. Geography is a popular and successful curriculum area in the school.
The department is well equipped, and teaches pupils in Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-level classes. Geography has a track record of academic success with Humanities value added consistently being ‘Significantly Positive’ and ranked in the top 10% nationally.
The school is going through an exciting period of regeneration and refurbishment and has recently secured over £5million of funding to rebuild and refurbish large areas of the school and we are expanding due to high demand for places to 6FE. We were judged as Outstanding but we are not complacent; there is a relentless drive from all staff for constant improvement. The successful candidate will therefore be someone who has the skills and abilities to enable them to secure incremental improvements in an already high-performing environment.
An application form and further details can be found at www.stmarys.net in the staff section. Only applications on the school application form can be considered. St Mary’s Catholic School is committed to equal opportunities, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
An enhanced DBS check is required for the successful candidate.
