Job overview
Salary: Upper/Main Pay Spine (with London Fringe)
Required: September 2025
‘Geography is everywhere’, it is featured as the main story or the underpinning story in current affairs. The impacts of global, national and local policy decisions are geographical. Therefore, our role is to teach students how to analyse, and respond to, geographical processes. Would you like to join an enthusiastic and approachable team using research-based practices to empower students to reach their potential?
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practitioner, who wants to offer young people fantastic learning experiences and have a real impact on student attainment and progress. We are looking for a motivated and talented teacher able to complement the energy, dynamism and analytical thinking present in our very successful Geography team. The post would suit an experienced teacher or ECT.
Why choose our school:
• Influence practice and sharing ideas with like-minded professionals.
• An established and well-resourced learning area.
• We offer excellent opportunities for high quality professional development and support.
• We have a strong commitment to staff wellbeing with a genuinely friendly body of staff who support and care for each other.
• Excellent transport links with the M1, A1 and M25 close by.
What we are looking for:
• Someone with a confident understanding of the curriculum and the ability to inspire students through their passion and knowledge.
• Someone who shows a commitment to high standards.
• Someone keen to develop their teaching repertoire through access to high quality professional development opportunities.
Please contact Mrs Shurle Woodhouse (woodhouses@kls.herts.sch.uk) for further details.
