Teacher of Geography

Full time, permanent position

With effect from September 2023

Salary: Outer London Main/Upper Pay Range

We are looking for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography to join our over-subscribed school.

Geography is held in high regard at The Hollyfield School, with many students choosing to study the subject at GCSE and A-Level. Geography is a popular EBACC subject that has worked with the AQA exam board over a number of years. The department is very well resourced and offers a range of fieldtrips to students in the quest to inspire our next generation of global citizens. 

This post is suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT who would receive excellent support from a hardworking and dedicated department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is committed to inspiring and motivating students through their innovative and engaging teaching.

The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:

●     QTS;

●     a broad base of subject knowledge;

●     the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5;

●     a clear vision for a knowledge-rich curriculum;

●     a clear understanding of successful classroom practice and  

        evidence based teaching;

●     employs a range of teaching and learning strategies;

●     the ability to work effectively as part of a curriculum team;

●     the ability to maintain good classroom behaviour;

●     effective interpersonal skills;

●     able to demonstrate suitability to work with children and 

        young people.
