The Head teacher is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, determined and passionate Geography Teacher to add to their strong Humanities department. Geography is extremely popular in this academy which is encouraged by the staff and pupils positive approach, this is reflected in very strong performance indicators for current KS4 pupils, with 76% predicted to gain a 9-4 pass and increasing numbers opting for the subject in KS5.
You must be a Geography teacher who has achieved ‘good’ or better in recent observations and the ability to teach other humanities subjects at KS3 would also be advantageous. The Academy is looking for someone who thrives when in the classroom but can also understands the benefits of developing the wider child through a strong pastoral commitment and has a real drive to make a difference to our children’s life chances.
