MAIN SCALE TEACHER OF GEOGRAPHYRequired for September 2018
Due to expansion we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of Geography to join our small friendly team. Geography is a popular subject with a good uptake at GCSE. We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching Geography and who is ambitious for the success of our students. This post would be very suitable for a newly qualified teacher looking for their first appointment.
NQTs are fully supported by an Induction Programme. The school takes a collaborative view of learning where good practice is shared through a structured INSET Programme.
Royal Liberty is a small oversubscribed 11-16 comprehensive school for boys situated on a very pleasant Grade II listed site. The school is in an excellent location, a short walk from the main line Gidea Park station to London Liverpool Street. The school has been judged as good in its last 2 Ofsted inspections and we are striving to improve further.
In February 2017 we became an academy and joined the Success for All Multi Academy Trust with Redden Court School.
Through the Priority Schools Building Programme and Local Authority expansion funding we will be undergoing a refurbishment of the main block and adding many new facilities.
The Success for All Educational Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The Geography department is part of a successful and supportive humanities faculty. At GCSE we follow the AQA A syllabus and we work closely and collaboratively with our partner school in planning and delivering the new GCSE specification.
