Teacher of Geography

Hours: Full Time/Permanent  

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious Teacher of Geography to work in this forward-thinking, Ofsted rated “Good” Academy. 

The successful candidate will teach across Key Stage 3 and 4, working with dedicated colleagues and well-behaved students that are ambitious to succeed. Geography is a popular GCSE subject, and the candidate will be part of a committed team of teachers working towards the Geographical Association’s Geography Quality Mark next year.  

The option to coordinate the school’s successful Duke of Edinburgh scheme will give the ideal candidate an opportunity to demonstrate leadership potential and help broaden our pupils’ experiences. 

A strong behaviour policy and shared-resources enable teachers to focus on delivering great outcomes for pupils. Support for rapid career progression will be provided for the right candidate.  

Salford City Academy is a medium sized comprehensive school that lies in the heart of its community, a school of which everyone can feel proud, and a school that is devoted to improving the life chances of all our young people. The Academy is based in Eccles, Manchester, just off Junction 11 of the M60 – Manchester’s ring road. It serves a predominantly white working class population and the proportion of students eligible for student premium funding is above national average. The proportion of students with special educational needs is in line with national average.
