The geography department at Emanuel School aims to encourage in all pupils a curiosity about the world around them, and the knowledge and skills to describe and understand it. We are looking for a new member of the department to join us in April or September 2020 on a permanent basis. The role would suit a teacher with an enthusiastic and engaging approach to their work and inspirational love of geography. We will be looking for someone who can help our pupils fulfil their potential in this important subject area.
We welcome applications from NQTs and recent graduates, as well as those with longer experience. All staff at Emanuel undertake a pastoral role as a form tutor, and get involved in the wider life of the school through its fieldwork and trips, co-curricular activities and outreach programmes.
Our ideal candidate will be able to inspire endeavour, confidence and ambition in our pupils. They will be ready to challenge and be challenged, and will have additional interests that they can bring to the diverse co-curricular life of the school.
