We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, committed and enthusiastic full-time teacher of Geography to join our successful Humanities & MFL Faculty.  An ability to teach A Level Geography is essential.  A leadership role within the faculty could also be offered to an experienced teacher.  Should you be interested in a leadership position, please make this explicit in your application. Specific responsibilities to be discussed with the applicant at interview, according to their strengths. Applications are also welcome from NQT’s (Newly Qualified Teacher).

About St Thomas More Catholic School and Sixth Form College

St Thomas More Catholic School and Sixth Form College is a mixed Roman Catholic secondary school. The state academy is located in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, and is attended by approximately 1,000 students aged 11-18. 

In 2008, St Thomas More Catholic School and Sixth Form College was awarded the title of high-performing specialist school. It became an academy in March 2015, when it combined with six other North Warwickshire schools to form the Catholic Multi Academy Company. The school is the only Catholic secondary school in North Warwickshire and has recently built a state-of-the-art sixth-form centre, with the capacity to hold 250 students.

Christian values are emphasised throughout the school’s curriculum. St Thomas More aims to provide every student with an outstanding education so they can succeed in later life. Teachers seek to provide diverse learning opportunities in a Catholic context.

Teaching and learning are good in all areas of the school and some teaching is outstanding.
