Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of Geography to join a School based in Westminster.
The post represents an exciting opportunity for a teacher with the necessary vision and ambition to help the School offer a first rate academic education for boys. As a teacher you will have the opportunity to build your experience of working with a team of specialists and to develop the teaching of Geography in interesting and innovative ways, with the support of the Head of Geography. The post would suit a talented newly qualified teacher or one with a couple of years’ experience looking to develop their careers but applications are, of course, welcome from more experienced colleagues who would like the freedom and challenge of working in a newly-established school. Teaching staff have experience of teaching in both the maintained and independent sectors and colleagues looking to move into independent education are warmly encouraged to apply.
The Geography Department
The department is made up of three teachers. All staff participate fully in the pastoral and co-curricular life of the School but appreciate that their primary role is that of teaching Geography. They meet fortnightly to discuss departmental and school-wide issues and share good teaching and learning practice. They are a happy department who all enjoy their jobs and working together; there is a supportive atmosphere and decisions about best practice are taken collaboratively.
