Nunthorpe is a very popular outstanding co-educational 11 – 19 comprehensive converter Academy with approximately 1610 students on roll.
Nunthorpe Academy is the lead Teaching School in the North East Schools Teaching Alliance – NESTA. Through this ‘school led’ system of self-improvement we focus on the key areas of School to School Support; Professional Development; Specialist Leaders of Education and Initial Teacher Training & Succession Planning
The Faculty
Nunthorpe Academy’s MFL Faculty is an experienced and established team, comprising of 4 full time teachers, 4 part time teachers and a Faculty Support Assistant. The faculty offers students GCSE French, German and Spanish at KS4 and A Level French, German and Spanish at KS5.
The Candidate
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified teacher of German, to contribute to the development of a strong and effective department.
The applicant must have a German specialism and the energy and commitment to teach students of all ages and abilities up to KS4, and potentially, including A-Level.
The ability to teach another language, preferably Key stage 3 French, would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will have the ability and potential to deliver consistently outstanding lessons at Key stage 3, GCSE and possibly A Level; and be ambitious for the achievement of every student in their care.
