Bright Futures Educational Trust (BFET) is a multi-academy trust set up in 2011. The Trust is made up of a richly diverse group of schools in Greater Manchester and Blackpool. We are passionate about working together within and beyond the Trust to achieve our aspirational vision: the best for everyone, the best from everyone. We are an organisation that is underpinned by values of: community, integrity and passion. In everything we do, we remember that we are accountable to the children, families and communities that we serve.

A well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of German is required to join this large and highly successful Modern Foreign Languages Department. The MFL Department leads the school in its language college status. AGGS is a lead school for MFL development for the Alliance for Learning. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to teach German up to key stage 5. The ability to teach Spanish to key stage 3 would be an advantage.

Our school is dedicated to sustaining and promoting diversity with respect to recruitment, promotion, training and general treatment during employment. We are actively seeking to extend the diversity of our staff. Furthermore, we welcome candidates who have not had previous experience of working in a grammar school.

Copies of the job description and application forms are available from the school website or by email.  Applications are welcome electronically or by post and should be emailed to recruitment@aggs.bfet.uk and addressed to Mrs C Williams.

Closing date for applications is Wednesday 26 April 2021 at 12.00 noon.

Interviews will take place in the week commencing Monday 3 May 2021.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Further information about the school, a copy of the school’s prospectus and the most recent OFSTED inspection are available from the school’s website.

BFET is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Any successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure check by the DBS. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
