Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a qualified teacher of Girls PE to cover a period of maternity leave. The Whitby High School is a successful 11-18 secondary school with a strong focus on learning in all aspects of its work. There are 1500 students on roll, including a thriving Sixth Form. The school has extremely high aspirations for all staff and students and has a very positive attitude to change.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing our already successful Girls PE provision across all selected Key Stage and have a genuine interest in leading and transforming practice within PE. You will have the vision and expertise to work alongside members of the Department to strengthen existing provision, and the ability to inspire students to achieve even higher standards by the end of each Key Stage.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Curriculum Leader of PE and other leaders to secure outstanding progress and attainment for our students.
