We require an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Girls' PE within a highly successful department, teaching through the age and ability range at KS3 and KS4.

Our aim is to inspire girls to learn and succeed. You will join a team of professionals committed to delivering the highest levels of achievement. You will be expected to make a contribution to the whole school including being committed to our extensive extra-curricular PE and Sport programmes. We offer GCSE PE, Sports Leaders course and A Level PE to students at our proudly comprehensive school. The school is equipped with outstanding facilities including an international standard athletics track, fully equipped fitness-suite, large sports hall, all-weather pitch and extensive on-site playing fields.

If you have an enthusiastic, innovative approach to teaching and learning and the curriculum then we look forward to hearing from you. Experience of teaching Dance at Key Stage 3 would be an advantage. Qualified and NQTs will be considered.

King Edward VI School is a proudly comprehensive secondary school, founded in 1550, in the market town of Bury St Edmunds in the County of Suffolk.

In our most recent Ofsted inspection (March 2019), the school was graded as ‘good - Staff are adventurous in their choice of activities and allow pupils to take control of their learning. Pupils behave very well. They are polite, listen to their teachers, move from lesson to lesson quickly and quietly and work hard.’  A broad curriculum and extensive enrichment programme prepare students well for the next stage of their lives.’ Our most recent exam results show that the school continues to make good progress.
