A well-established Health & Social Care curriculum area within Seevic College are seeking a Health & Social Care Teacher with experience of delivering at Level 2 and 3.  

 Candidates will have experience teaching Health & Social Care and be highly competent to ensure the effective teaching and learning of students. 

To be considered, you will ideally have:  

- Qualified Teacher Status (or working towards)
- Experience teaching in Health & Social Care
- Behavioural management skills
- Willingness to promote learning
- Strong classroom management skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Positive outlook 

- Innovative and resourceful teaching methods

 - Relevant Degree

You will also be an enthusiastic individual who has the ability and desire to motivate students and provide a stimulating, demanding and rewarding learning experience in a fast paced department with high expectations. Experience and knowledge of teaching and assessing is essential.

The successful candidate will have a subject degree; ideally have experience of teaching in the post-16 sector with a teaching qualification. Candidates will also have a good knowledge of Safeguarding and Prevent.     

This specification relates to the specific duties of this post and   should be read in conjunction with the generic job descriptions for teaching   staff and subject leaders.

JOB PURPOSE:

To be responsible for the delivery of modules on Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC Health   and Social Care.

MAIN DUTIES:

Ø To prepare and deliver certain modules on Level 2 and Level 3 BTEC Health and   Social Care.

Ø To write appropriate assignments to assess these modules

Ø To assess students work on a regular basis, following subject procedures, and   write reports as directed

Ø To manage the classroom situation effectively

Ø To keep accurate and up to date records

Ø To liaise with other team members in the delivery of the above course

Ø To attend faculty and subject meetings as required

Ø To be fully aware of College policies relating to equality and diversity and   actively promote positive practice in this respect.

Ø Health and Safety is everyone’s   responsibility and you will be required to adhere to all policy and  legislative practice during every activity of work, as well as attending   necessary training. 

Ø Any other duties compatible with the post which may reasonably be required from   time to time
