The Health and Social Care Department comprises of two teachers and is situated within the PE and Expressive Arts Faculty which comprises of 12 teachers in total. This is a supportive, nurturing and vibrant faculty who are dedicated to the success of all our young students. The Faculty continues to achieve fantastic outcomes and is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Health and Social Care Teacher to join the team.

The Health and Social Care Curriculum is taught across KS4 and KS5. At KS4 students’ study BTEC Level 2 Tech Award in Health and Social Care. At KS5 students have the option to study the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma or Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care.

At Derby Moor we take great pride in the facilities that we offer our students.  Our school was re-built in 2013 and now features a welcoming entrance plaza, state of the art technology and a diverse range of learning spaces and sports facilities.

  • Has the ability to teach BTEC Level 2 Tech award in Health and Social Care and Level 3 Extended Diploma/Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care across the age ranges of KS4 and KS5.
