Job overview

Harris Academy Merton opened in 2006 and is a secondary Academy set in seven acres of land with excellent buildings & facilities. The current student role is 1200 and applications for Year 7 places greatly exceed the 180 places available. In 2008 we achieved a grading of 'Outstanding', a judgment that was repeated under the more challenging criteria in 2012. The Academy is favourably located for public transport with good local access to bus, mainline train and underground links.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to join our dynamic team, someone able to contribute to raising standards and driving outstanding student outcomes in the classroom. Our Academy is generously staffed giving small class sizes and high level TA support with IWB and excellent resources in every classroom.  We would consider an NQT or an experienced teacher.

We are looking for:

  • A well qualified specialist to take responsibility for the development and teaching of the Health & Social Care.
  • Someone with presence and authority who can deliver consistently outstanding lessons
  • A hard working, creative and enthusiastic team member

Harris Academy Merton is an 11-18 co-educational Academy for 1,500 students. The Academy opened in September 2006 on the site of the predecessor school.
