Job overview
The Humanities department is housed in the Achieve Village where all classrooms have an Interactive White Board and a desktop computer, enabling you to deliver engaging lessons. Outside of the classrooms, we have a computer suite that can also be utilised. Furthermore, you will benefit from a highly organised curriculum plan where all lessons are planned and stored on the Academy's online curriculum.
You will be stepping into a department of nine teachers with a range of skills and abilities, managed by the Head of Humanities and Leader of Health and Social Care. From the moment you join us you will feel welcomed and supported by an experienced and varied team, who are wholly focused on teaching and learning. As part of your induction into the Academy and the Humanities department, you will be well supported through a comprehensive programme of induction, training and coaching to ensure you continue to develop as a teacher.

The Milton Keynes Academy is a co-educational, non-selective secondary school for students aged 11-18. We are a member of the Creative Education Trust, a charity and multi-academy trust with a network of non-selective primary and secondary state schools. Together, we work to empower young people with the knowledge, skills and creativity they need to succeed in school and in life.
