JOB OVERVIEW

At USP College, we are looking for a passionate qualified assessor of Health, Social Care & Early Years to provided high quality and accurate assessments of our students on placement. You will form part of our energetic, focused and welcoming Health & Social Care team, you will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success while maintaining a healthy, focused learning environment for all students within the college.

You will visit students in placement to provide support, prepare and review action plans, undertake observations and assessments of competency to provide feedback in line with regulatory and organisational requirements as part of their programme of study to ensure successful achievement of their awards.

To plan and carry out assessments (including professional discussions) both in College and the students workplace adhering to the awarding organisations requirements.

Work according to awarding body rules and regulations in all areas.

Making accurate assessment judgements with learners work and observations.

Give clear and constructive feedback.

Carry out one to one support or group support where needed.

Work in partnership with the settings to support the students and to support the learners meet the criteria.

Work with other teachers to ensure all aspects of the course is being met.

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

NQT's

Experience innovating to deliver the curriculum

This role is considered exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. The college was formed in 2017 as a result of a merger between Palmers College (Grays) and Seevic College (Benfleet) and the last 12 months has been a period of very positive change, growth and investment.
