Teacher of History and Geography in English

Chevreul Catholic High School (France), is seeking to appoint a well-qualified teacher of History and Geography with the ability to teach the latter subjects in English across all stages of its European section (“Seconde”, “Première”, “Terminale” equivalent of GCSE and A-Levels). A weekly schedule for the aforementioned position will be organized as follows:

• 12 hours of teaching History and Geography in English (European section: “Seconde”, “Première”, “Terminale”, respectively the equivalent of GCSE / AS level / A -level)
• And a possibility to teach, 4,5 hours of History and Geography in French (Première/Fifth form/A-levels) to have a full schedule.

For A-levels, the successful candidate is expected to master the following syllabus and subjects : Governing the UK from 1945 to the present days, The United States and the world since 1918. As regard Geography: Globalization, the Americas (territorial dynamics, contrasts and similarities)

Some pedagogic documents and even lessons can be provided on request.
For the present position a master's degree is essential. Qualified teacher status would be desirable.

The right candidate must be a native speaker or bilingual with a C1 language level in English according to international standards (IELTS) and the Common European Framework of Reference for Language. He should also have the required skills and competences to teach History and Geography and feel at ease with delivering lessons for the aforementioned contents. If interested in teaching History and Geography, the potential candidate should also be fluent in French.
