Teacher of History

Appleton Academy is an all through learning environment for pupils aged 3 to 19 and our building provides a wonderful environment for lifelong learning, in South Bradford.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate Teacher of History who shows the potential to be outstanding, to work across the academy.  We are seeking an History practitioner with a commitment to excellence and the desire to develop their career, where there is a real opportunity to inspire our students. 

The successful applicant will teach History principally in KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to contribute to the teaching of younger learners across the academy. The successful candidate will also have the potential to teach A level courses.

The successful applicant will:

• Be a consistently good to outstanding practitioner or an NQT aspiring to be outstanding

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons with a focus on high quality, imaginative and innovative teaching

• Be committed to the ideals and potential of all-through education

• Be familiar with the History National Curriculum GCSE History syllabus
