Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of History (ECT or experienced) to join our committed, dynamic and very successful History department within our Humanities faculty on a one-year fixed term contract.

The successful candidate will be ambitious for young people and for themselves; creative in using new technologies or teaching approaches to help students to learn and progress; keen to continually develop their practice, sharing what works best with their team, and an enthusiastic teacher who can motivate and challenge students.

Bury Grammar School is situated in the heart of Bury, Lancashire and is widely recognised as one of the top independent schools in the North West of England. Currently there are over 1270 girls and boys on roll.
