We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled Class Teacher to join our rapidly growing and friendly team.  If you are an excellent practitioner with the ability to inspire and motivate students, we would like to hear from you.

The Avanti Hall grounds on the outskirts of Exeter, offer a site of inspiring natural beauty. Our main building, Thomas Hall, was built in the 1600s, with established woodland surrounding the main campus area. The building was part of Exeter University’s Duryard Halls of Residence for nearly 100 years before becoming a school.

The staff team at Avanti Hall School are passionate about our school and we are relentlessly focused on improving the achievement and opportunities for all our students. What will you do?

• Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability group/subject/s that you teach
• Be responsible for the preparation and development of teaching materials, teaching programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate
• Be aware of pupils’ capabilities, their prior knowledge and plan teaching and differentiate appropriately to build on these, demonstrating knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn
• Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect and establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, using praise, sanctions and rewards consistently and fairly
• Work as a team member and identify opportunities for working with colleagues and sharing the development of effective practice with them
