We seek to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring colleague to join our highly regarded and successful History department. The department has an outstanding leadership team and collaborative culture. The successful applicant will share these values and play an active part in the History & RE curriculum at all levels. They will be able to enthuse and motivate our students with their passion for the subject along with their creative teaching, strong presence and personality.
As part of our commitment to Personal Development, we are looking to further develop our Curriculum in Religious Studies and whilst experience of teaching Religious Studies is not essential or necessary for this post, candidates who have taught both History and Religious Studies would enhance our wider curriculum plans.

About Wade Deacon High School
Wade Deacon High School is a mixed, non-denominational academy secondary school for pupils aged 11-16. It is located in Widnes, Cheshire and has about 1,500 pupils.
The school was formerly Wade Deacon Grammar School for Boys and Wade Deacon Grammar School for Girls. It became the Wade Deacon High School in 1974, and converted to academy status in March 2013.
It is operated by the Wade Deacon Trust, a multi-academy trust that also includes Hillside High School, Widnes Academy and Halewood Academy.
