Newall Green High School is part of the Prospere Learning Trust, which believes in working collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes and life chances for students. The Trust operates five secondary mainstream schools, two secondary special schools and one primary and secondary combined special school. The Trust welcomed MEA and MEAC in April 2020, bringing our combined pupil capacity to 4,750.

Newall Green High School is a co-educational academy school based in Manchester for students aged 11-16.

Values and vision

Newall Green High School’s vision is based on the belief that all students deserve a high-quality education that meets their individual needs. It believes it should be crucial in providing an educational experience that provides the platform for students’ future success and happiness.

Above all, the school is built on and driven by its core values represented by ‘STRIVE’. Each letter represents a different value (success, tolerance, respect, independence, vision, excellence). The school's dedication to these values is reflected by its use of work ethic grades which are reported to parents along with progress grades. The name is meant to highlight what the school sees as the need for its pupils to think about the world of work and to develop the skills required by future employees.

Ofsted

“The positive impact of some of the work of school leaders is evident in improvements to the quality of teaching, reduced exclusions and better attendance since the previous inspection. Leadership overall has the ability to secure improvement and raise students’ achievement. The school provides good pastoral support and care for the well-being of students in its community. Partnerships with an extensive range of support services benefit a high proportion of potentially vulnerable young people.”
