Thetford Grammar School is proud of its history as a seat of learning stretching back over 1400 years. Today, we are a 3-19 day and boarding school that achieves excellent outcomes for pupils at every stage of their education.
We gain outstanding results at GCSE an A level, a product of bright, hard-working pupils, passionate and talented staff, small class sizes and close relationships between school and home.
We require from September 2021, or sooner, a qualified Teacher of History for a full-time, maternity cover. The ability to teach to GCSE and A level will be essential, as will confidence with the requirements of examination entries, with the help and support of the school's Senior Leadership Team.
History is a popular and successful subject at TGS, making this an ideal opportunity for a teacher looking to gain experience as a Head of Department.
A telephone call with the Head can be arranged prior to application.
Closing date: Noon, Monday 24th May 2021. Early applications welcome.
