History Teacher (Main Scale/UPR)

We are looking to appoint a History Teacher to join our Social Sciences faculty. We are looking for a teacher with innovative practices and a willingness to work as part of an ambitious team.

Ellis Guilford is a very popular city school, situated 3 miles from Nottingham city centre with easy access to the M1. The school was rated Good by Ofsted in June 2015 and benefits from outstanding facilities. 

We are looking to appoint a highly skilled colleague who understands the challenges and rewards of working to improve the life chances of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Ellis Guilford has a strong and supportive community of staff, students and parents and benefits from links with a number of local networks and TSAs.

The school places a strong emphasis on supporting and developing all staff. We run a comprehensive Continued Professional Learning (CPL) package including the opportunity to attend external teaching and leadership programmes, and offer fast track pay progression and career development for outstanding teachers. NQT appointments (those who will be a NQT from September 2018) will be offered a 5 day paid induction period in the Summer Term.
