The school was judged “good” by Ofsted in October 2022 and “outstanding” by the Archdiocese of Southwark in May 2019. Our Roman Catholic, Salesian school, in the heart of Battersea, strives to ensure that all its young people are given the opportunity and support they need to achieve their best, fulfil their true potential and go out into the world confident and ready to ‘earn their own bread.’
The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled History teacher to join this Catholic 11 – 18 comprehensive school judged “good” by Ofsted in October 2022 and “outstanding” by the Archdiocese of Southwark in May 2019.
It is an exciting time to join St John Bosco College as we continue our journey towards being an outstanding school, now that we are fully settled into our state-of-the-art building in the heart of Battersea. Our success can be credited to our committed and dedicated staff who strive for excellence and promote high aspirations throughout the school. The successful candidate will receive a full programme of CPD and have opportunities for career development within the school.
We are seeking a talented individual to deliver high-quality History lessons consistently across KS3-KS4, and to have the capacity to deliver History at A-Level in the future. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide excellent pastoral care to all students.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to teach History at KS3-4 and have the potential to teach A-Level History.
- Be willing and able to pick up other subjects as directed by the Headteacher
- Be actively supportive of the Catholic values and beliefs of St John Bosco College and to make a positive contribution to the wider life of the school.
