About the Role:

Edgar Wood Academy is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Teacher of History to join our dynamic Humanities Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to shape engaging learning experiences and foster a love for history among our students.

37 hours per week, term-time only.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire curiosity and critical thinking by bringing history to life through innovative teaching strategies.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular opportunities within the department.
  • Support students' academic progress and personal development.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS and has experience delivering History lessons to a high standard.
  • Is passionate about teaching and inspiring students to appreciate and understand historical events and perspectives.
  • Has strong classroom management skills and builds positive relationships with students.
  • Is committed to supporting students in reaching their full potential.
