Wath Academy is an extremely popular 11-18 school with approximately 1800 students on roll, including over 300 in the Sixth Form.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a creative, highly motivated individual, who is passionate about teaching history. History is taught as a discrete subject at KS3 and is a popular GCSE and A-Level choice.
This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced or newly qualified teacher to join a supportive, collaborative team of subject specialists.

Wath Comprehensive School is a co-educational secondary school located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. It educates more than 1,800 students aged 11-18, 400 of whom attend the sixth form. The school was first established in 1923 and became comprehensive in 1972.
Over the years, Wath Comprehensive School has seen considerable modernisation and expansion, with the most recent building works completed in 2005. It is considerably larger than the average secondary school. The secondary school boasts a number of modern facilities, including a public leisure centre.

Wath Comprehensive School aims to foster a strong sense of community and acceptance among its pupils. Owing to the large number of students it has on roll and the size of its catchment area, the secondary school has a diverse student intake.
