Icknield High School is a highly successful multi-cultural 11-16 Academy, situated in pleasant grounds on the northern outskirts of town.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, ambitious, inspirational and highly motivated History Teacher to join our well-resourced History department. History is one of our leading subjects with consistently high achievement, high quality teaching throughout and is at the forefront of our learning innovations. Roles and responsibilities to be decided depending on experience.
The successful candidate will be able to display and promote excellence in teaching and learning and have the potential to make a real difference to the outcomes of our students.

About Icknield High School
Located in the city of Luton, Bedfordshire, Icknield High School is a secondary academy, with a specialist status in art. Although the school has no sixth form, it has around 1400 pupils aged 11-16 in a co-educational setting, making it considerably larger than the average school of its type. Icknield School has an extremely culturally diverse catchment area, a fact reflected in the school’s student intake. Although the vast majority of teaching take place in school, a small number of students do make use of local off-site provision for particular subjects or needs.
