Teacher of History

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of History. The post is suitable for newly qualified or experienced colleagues and will initially be for a period of one year, subject to review. This is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant, forward looking and successful faculty, which achieves excellent results at all key stages. The successful candidate will become part of an exciting new Humanities team that has the potential to achieve outstanding success. The department is currently delivering A Level History and Politics, GCSE History and GCSE Ancient History. If successful, you will be expected to contribute towards the planning and delivery of aspects of the curriculum and to adhere to the positive, open and inclusive ethos of the department.

The Whitby High School is a successful 11-18 secondary school with a strong focus on learning in all aspects of its work. There are 1550 students on roll, including a thriving Sixth Form. The school has extremely high aspirations for all staff and students and has a very positive attitude to change.
