We are seeking an enthusiastic and determined teacher to join our forward thinking humanities team. The humanities department is an exciting learning environment with staff who have a passion and drive to share excellent lessons and learning experiences with the Everest students. We are looking to appoint a teacher who specialises in history and/or religious studies.
The ethos of the department is to challenge students to think big, work independently and gain a wider appreciation for a world outside of Everest, through our three subjects; geography, history and philosophy and ethics. We have recently redeveloped our philosophy and ethics curriculum to ensure it encompasses moral reasoning and allows students to debate big questions. What would you do if you saw a £20 note on the floor? Our aim is to foster creative and broad thinkers who are equipped to be successful after Everest. By creating this culture our students develop a growth mind set which empowers them to tackle and solve problems they would previously have thought were beyond them.
