Maltings Academy is an 11-16 co-educational Academy for 900 students. The Academy opened in September 2012 on the site of the predecessor school. Maltings Academy is judged by Ofsted to be an Outstanding School. Maltings academy is an oversubscribed school at the heart of its local community. We have excellent transport links to London which enables our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides.
We are looking for a Teacher of Humanities to join our academy on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will be a Geography specialist with strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high quality lessons. The Humanities Department at Maltings Academy comprises of: History, Geography, Religious Studies and Psychology. The department work closely as a team across the subject areas to deliver high quality teaching to secure great outcomes for students. Within each subject area, the team conducts joint planning and preparation to ensure there is consistency across the departments and to help support teacher workload. They use whole class feedback to ensure there is timely and effective feedback for our students in order for them to make progress across each subject area. Along with resourced lessons, they have access to chrome books and smart boards to enable delivery of high quality teaching.
