Due to school expansion we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher of Humanities for April or September 2021 to join this flourishing and highly successful Faculty.
The position would be suitable for a newly qualified or an experienced teacher wishing to take up a post in a highly successful Faculty which attracts a large number of students at both GCSE and A Level. The successful applicant would be required to teach History and Geography at Key Stage 3, and at Key Stage 4 and 5 in their specialist subject. The ability to teach Religious Studies or Government & Politics would be a distinct advantage.

We are an expanding school, having been asked by Hertfordshire to increase to 217 students in each year group and over 250 in the Sixth Form, allowing us to recruit new colleagues and increase the broad range of academically rigorous courses we offer. The Hemel Hempstead School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Hertfordshire, serving students from the age of 11-18. Formerly The Hemel Hempstead Grammar School, The Hemel Hempstead School opened in 1931, converting to a comprehensive school in 1971. In 2016, the school was identified as good by Ofsted.
