Job overview

An outstanding opportunity has arisen to work in Gloucestershire’s largest comprehensive school. We are an established 11-18 single academy trust with a good reputation (Ofsted ‘Good’ rating 2016), wide catchment, and a strong presence in our community. Our school is consistently oversubscribed with a PAN of 300, and most of our students stay with us for their post-16 study.

We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Humanities who will join our lively, high performing and enthusiastic History and Geography Departments at Cheltenham Bournside School, where both History and Geography are hugely popular subjects.

The successful candidate will teach an even split of the two subjects and will be a key part of the teams, who will teach to highly motivated and talented pupils from Year 7 to 11, planning and preparing courses and lessons according to their educational needs and providing guidance and advice on their further education and future careers.
