The British School Tashkent (BST) offers a modern and vibrant education to boys and girls in Early Years, Primary and Secondary School up until Year 9. As the school grows an additional year group will open every year. The school serves expatriate and Uzbek families looking to provide their children with a private education of the highest standard. Suitable candidates for this post will:

  • Hold a UK-recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or similar).
  • Be able to teach either History to GCSE and preferably A level
  • Have experience and excellent knowledge of teaching the English National Curriculum/UK examination boards. A minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience is essential.
  • Have EAL experience or a desire to gain this through teaching in an ENC school, in an international setting;
  • Understand and be able to articulate what constitutes outstanding classroom practice.
  • Want to play an active role in the co-curricular life of a busy international school.
  • Possess the ambition and enthusiasm to want to play a key role in shaping and developing an outstanding school.

Interviews will take place in Glasgow during the week beginning Monday 13th February.
Skype interviews will also take place for this position

Remuneration includes a competitive salary, retention bonus, housing including utilities, international medical cover, annual flights and bursaries for accompanying children.
