Teacher of Humanities | Required for January 2020 | Permanent
Sir Jonathan North is an outstanding learning community based in the outskirts of Leicester City. Our uniqueness is as a result of being the only multi faith girls’ school in Leicester; our diverse cohort of students is reflective of the city as a whole. Our excellent outcomes have led to Sir Jonathan North becoming a National Support School and Teaching School and more recently, achieving the World Class Schools Quality Mark.
For the last two years our Progress 8 score has been well above average. In 2018, this placed Sir Jonathan North in the top 20% of all schools nationally. The percentage of students achieving the top grades is also impressive and well above average in a range of subjects.
We now need a passionate and enthusiastic, newly qualified or experienced teacher to join a strong and successful Humanities team. We are particularly looking for Geography specialists who can teach Geography at KS4 but will consider other humanities disciplines.
• well motivated students
• a successful and supportive team
• an attractive working environment
• an excellent CPD programme.
The successful teacher will be an excellent classroom practitioner who is able to engage and motivate; have a clear commitment to raising standards and aspirations to enable students to achieve their best.
