St Paul’s Way Trust School, in association with Queen Mary University of London, is seeking to appoint an outstanding qualified Teacher of Humanities.

This is an exciting career opportunity for a colleague who is passionate about the entitlement of young people to inspiring Humanities lessons. Working within a vibrant and highly successful faculty, you will be an outstanding classroom teacher with a passionate commitment to the progress of all students in our fully comprehensive and heavily oversubscribed school. The successful candidate will have an unwavering belief in the potential of every student and support them in improving their life chances. (S)he will do what it takes to ensure that students achieve their best, and will inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject which motivates students. The successful candidate will teach History or Geography at KS3 and 4, and have strong second subject knowledge. This post would be suitable for a newly qualified teacher or a more experienced colleague. The school has a comprehensive NQT induction programme and numerous CPD opportunities. 

In March 2013, Ofsted described the school as ‘Outstanding’ in every category, including the VI Form. The school was commended for its “relentless pursuit of scholarship and excellence”. Both the school and the Humanities Faculty were in the top 10% in 2017 for Progress 8. We are entering our second year as a National Teaching School. Our award winning new building is situated in the heart of East London. Professor Brian Cox OBE is our Patron.
