Itchen Sixth Form College requires an enthusiastic teacher with a real passion for their subject to join our well-established IT learning area from September 2017. We welcome applications from newly qualified or experienced teachers who have the desire and ability to inspire all students to reach their full potential. 

You must be able to show a clear commitment to delivering high quality teaching and learning for students. Experience in either a secondary school or college environment is suitable. Furthermore, you will be required to teach L2 & L3 Cambridge Technicals. Units delivered will depend upon the candidate specialism and expertise to be agreed with the Learning Area Manager. An ability to teach Business, at the same level, would be advantageous. 

Salary will be on the Sixth Form Colleges’ pay structure for teaching staff dependent on qualifications and experience, currently £22,120 - £32,374 or PSP 1-3, currently £35,074 - £37,752.

Itchen College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in Hampshire, serving students from the age of 16-19. The college, situated in Southampton has approximately 1,558 learners on record.

Itchen College was founded in 1906 as a co-educational secondary school and later Itchen Grammar School. It welcomes learners from across the world, with 10% making up international students. Facilities on the campus include a sports centre, performing arts block – features Apple Mac suites, recording studios and soundproof music rooms, and a Student Centre for students to relax in during their study breaks.
