Job overview

The Chase is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to teach IT throughout KS3, KS4 and KS5. Applications from our NQT colleagues will be most welcome.

You will be joining a very successful and supportive team. Both KS4 and KS5 examination results are significantly above national expectations in terms of both progress and attainment. IT is a popular subject at KS5.

The school serves a highly educated and economically stable community, A Level and GCSE results are amongst the highest in the region. The expectation is that each student who attends the school wishes to progress to university or quality apprenticeship training. Our students are aspirational, resilient and mature.

The school expects a high level of professional excellence from its teachers and all new staff are required to attend our extremely effective Masterclass CPD course to ensure that all teaching within the school is at least always ‘Good’ and usually ‘Outstanding’. Excellence within the classroom is sustained through collegial challenge and collegial support, with the sharing of practice expected of all.

An application pack is available on the vacancies section of the school website, www.chase.worcs.sch.uk.

The Chase strives to be more than a school; it is a family, it is a community. Like all good families, The Chase wants our children to be happy and successful in their lives.

We want our children to be happy and successful today.

  • We want our children to be excited about the prospect of coming to school, each and every day. To that end, we provide pastoral care second to none; a quality of teaching that inspires young minds and a vast extra-curricular programme that will identify and develop the individual talents of your child. This is a caring, family school, which is insistent on good behaviour, caring interdependence, and strong partnerships between home and school, so all students feel happy, safe and secure as they pursue their studies.

We want our children to be happy and successful tomorrow.

  • Thanks to the exciting changes taking place in our world today, it is difficult to predict what the future has in store for our children. What we do know is that they will need high quality skills to secure consistent, fulfilling employment. Hence, we have high expectations of our students – we insist that they work hard to fulfil their potential, to strive for University or superior vocational training. We ensure our students develop as truly independent learners, confident in their abilities, eager to engage in lifelong learning. As a result, many of our sixth form students go on to Oxford and Cambridge or other Russell Group universities.

The Chase is a very popular and very successful school playing an important part at the heart of its community.  It is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and lies at the foot of the impressive Malvern Hills.
