We wish to appoint an enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary phase from February 2020. This post is offered on a 1 year fixed term contract to cover the substantive post holder’s maternity leave.
The successful candidate will have consistently high expectations; nurture a thirst for knowledge and understanding, and a love of learning in all our students. You will be committed to raising standards, achieving excellence for all and be a committed member of our school team.
Prendergast Vale School is an all-through school for 3 to 16 year olds in the heart of Lewisham and benefits from being part of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools. Our primary phase is one form entry and our ambition is to provide the best possible primary education in a stimulating and creative environment. We encourage children to develop a passion for learning, inspired by high-quality teaching and close nurturing.

We are committed to providing excellent CPD for Middle Leaders and offer the accredited National Award for Middle Leaders (NPQML) to all Middle Leaders. Prendergast Vale is a small school within a big community. As a member of the Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools, we are stronger together. The Leathersellers’ Federation of schools is made up of a group of three secondary and two primary schools as well as Prendergast 6th Form. We are very fortunate to be part of the Federation and receive a lot of support from the Leathersellers’ Company, which helps our pupils succeed.
