The Role

Lancing College Preparatory School at Hove are seeking to appoint an outstanding part time Teacher of Science to deliver general science to KS2. The ability to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics in Years 7&8 would be an advantage. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to foster a love of learning in all children throughout the school, delivering innovative lessons.

About You

Essential

  • Graduate and qualified teacher.
  • Inspirational classroom practitioner.
  • Good understanding of independent schools and their rationale.
  • Good manner with parents.
  • Evidence of CPD.
  • Commitment shown in other areas, e.g. STEM initiatives.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.

Desirable

  • Experience of teaching both Key Stages 2 & 3.
  • Ability to be involved with the Games department (boys and / or girls).
  • Experience of or willingness to teach Technology.
