We are looking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic Languages Teacher / Second in Department to teach across the age range (11-16).

The Modern Foreign Languages Department at Linton Village College has a national profile for its pedagogy and cutting-edge practice. The team is comprised of energetic, supportive, friendly and creative practitioners who are committed to delivering engaging lessons and high attainment in MFL. We have one part time and four full time members of staff. In addition we are fortunate to work with a dedicated and supportive Spanish and French Language Assistant in lessons and with our Language Futures programme.

We welcome applications from talented and ambitious teachers who wish to join an excellent school and are keen to work in an innovative learning environment. The successful applicant must be able to teach French and Spanish. The ability to also teach French and/or Spanish to GCSE level would be beneficial. A Teaching and Learning responsibility payment is available for suitably experienced applicants who are interested in a leadership / subject leadership role.

Linton Village College is an oversubscribed 11-16 academy situated in Linton, South Cambridgeshire. The College is a high-achieving comprehensive school at the heart of its local community. It has over 830 students on roll.

History

Opened in 1937 as the second of Cambridgeshire’s Village Colleges, the school is still true to Henry Morris’ founding vision for cradle to grave learning. The College operates a community sports centre and adult education provision as well as childcare settings.

In 2020, Linton Village College joined Anglian Learning, a local Trust of like-minded schools committed to offering an ambitious, inspiring and inclusive learning experience.
